Three Inspiring Solutions In 2023
2023 has proven to be a particularly profitable year both productively and creatively with the need for continuous research into solutions capable of extending spaces and reducing the boundaries between interiors and exteriors.
Within the vast range of solutions created, we wanted to select three of particular inspiration for future projects.
The Full-Beam sliding doors
It has now become a must on the Maiora 30 and Maiora 35 Exuma lines. What makes this door so important from both a design and functional point of view is the ability to completely transform spaces. This door slides into special pockets to disappear entirely, leaving architects and designers new and increased possibilities to interpret and think about the spaces arrengements. The peculiarity of our telescopic system lies in the simultaneous movement of the door’s panels, which also gives grace to the opening and closing operations, offering a real wow effect.
The Glass-Wall for Alpha Squalo
Conceived together with the designer Roberto Curtò, it is actually a “symmetrical” system composed of three different solutions: two doors on the sides that move and disappear inside pockets, and a vertically sliding glass that disappears inside the furniture. The system allows to create continuity between the lounge and the aft cockpit: furthermore, as each component can be operated individually, it adapts to the usage preferences of the guests.
The double Pantograph Door of the Okean 80
Designed by Paolo Ferragni, the Okean 80 model has stood out since its inception for its ability to transform and open up interior spaces. The restyling of the fly version combined the adoption of a double pantograph door on the bow profile of the main deck. In this way it was possible to maintain the clean lines of the hull with the door closed, and when open allow free movement at 360° over the entire deck.
