Our Tradition With Turkish Shipyards
We have a long tradition of collaborating with Turkish shipyards, and it all begins during the 90s of past century.
Back then, we began introducing our watertight hatches, windows, and portholes, culminating in the construction of Moonstar in 2000 at Gorkem Yat. This vessel marked the watershed that made us a leading supplier in the Turkish market too. For Moonstar, we built an entire range of products, from sliding exterior doors and pantographs doors, to technical doors and hatches and portholes.
The next step was rapid expansion especially into the Antalya Free Trade Zone, one of Turkey’s nautical production centers. Over the past 20 years, we have collaborated on a multitude of projects, reaching every shipyard in the area with our solutions and quality. Among these, several projects have shaped the success trajectories of their builders.
Cyrus One, and the 34-meter series from Cyrus Yachts, in 2008, which featured, among other products, an innovative electric sliding companionway.
Also in 2008, to Tamsen we introduced the first electric telescopic sliding doors that hide into the superstructure, for the 41-meter sisterships TaTii and Namaste. This design anticipated by almost 10 years what is now a standard on many yachts.
Another important collaboration was with Peri Yacht, which began in the early 2000s and lasted for more than a decade, throughout the production of models in the 29-41 meters range. These constructions set market trends with the distinctive design created by the collaboration between Scaro Design and Dixon Yacht Design. This partnership encompassed the design and supply of our entire production catalog.
The collaboration with Vicem Yachts began with the supply of portholes for their Classic series, which then led to the supply of sliding doors, electric windows, and pantograph doors for the largest vessels they ever built, those of the Vulcan series, particularly the 32-meter Bronko I and the 46-meters Vulcan 46.
For Bilgin, the sliding doors for the “123” series and its two vessels, Tee-Dje and RL Noor. These two projects also marked one of the first collaborations with H2 Yacht Design.
And then there’s Alia Yachts, with the supply of the external sliding doors, “skylight” electric companionway and pantograph doors for Alyoni, designed by Warwick Yacht Design and delivered in 2012, follow by a decade-long collaboration that brings us to the present day, with the recent launches of the 43-meter Ximena and the 60-meter Serenity II. Both constructions feature our sliding doors and pantograph doors: a partnership that will continue with two more vessels under construction.
Other shipyards are also part of the long list, including Ares for the supply of technical doors for patrol vessels, Arkin Pruva and Numarine for portholes and windows, Euro Marine Group for the sliding doors and terraces for the revolutionary Lazzara LSX67, and the recent constructions UHV 100 and UHV 90.
A long tradition that is destined to be enriched with important milestones in the coming years.
